After nearly 35 years in the industry, Wenzel designer/drafter Daryl Ronaghan is set to retire this Wednesday, March 25th.
Daryl’s history with the organization begins before the existence of Wenzel Downhole Tools. In 1988, with design and drafting training from the Alberta School of Drafting and a couple years of work experience, Daryl landed a contract job with Bill Wenzel at Maxi-Tech Machines Ltd. At the time, AutoCAD software was relatively new in the industry and Daryl was tasked with digitizing the company’s many hand-drafted paper drawings.
A couple years later, Daryl signed on full-time at Maxi-Tech, which at the time had only 10-12 employees and a single location in Edmonton. In 1996, Maxi-Tech acquired Mason Tools and the Wenzel Downhole Tools brand was born.
Daryl’s seen a lot in his 32 years at Wenzel. A lot of faces, several shops, different ownership, new technology and the ups and downs of the industry. Through it all, Daryl has provided our organization with high-quality work and has been an exceptional teammate.
Please join me in thanking Daryl for his countless contributions and congratulating him on this achievement.
Daryl, on behalf of the entire Wenzel Organization, we wish you the best of luck!
